Hey guys,

I wana buy a new Dell USB Multimedia keyboard but its not available from dell directly... also checked with a couple of guys @ Lammy but they arent available or they arnt aware..

Am from Mumbai and would be really gr8full if ppl could tell me where i can find it..

this is the model no: SK-8135 0N6250 0DJ425

Guys the stock of the keyboard is very small amount! whatever stock is in the pipeline is very less in quantity... the dealer is quoting 750/- bux for 10 orders and single piece is 800bux..

Such a disappointment! and frustrating... the distri himself is messing up at the las moment.. The availability of the stock with the distri itself is messed up and in shortage.. :(

Am still in for 25bux more.. 750/- per piece for all 10 of us is final.. the keyboards are getting stocked tomorrow by noon / evening..

Please update me, if ppl are ok with 750/- or anybody wants to back out.

For ppl outside Mumbai, shipping wont be going more than 100 bux... but still finial wordings on this will be obtained once the keyboards are stocked tomorrow!!

I want one of those too... if you find more than one, please take on for me also. I'm from Mumbai too and it's really hard finding these.
 
how about funding 2 keyboards from ur office :P ... kidding.. we'll pay u 200 bux tho :P

i came across a guy who sells this keyboards and he said he'll be getting these within a week's time or by this weekend..

how about gathering everybody who wants this keyboard and we all buy in bulk from him :D??? mebbe iGo u can ask ur other frnds if they are interested?

...this way we can ask for discount... kinda GO???
 
Ok... i spoke to the dealer.. he said he'd leme know about the discount by tomorrow...

so ppz.. who so ever is interested in buying this keyboard just leme know here in the thread.....

so MODs can this thread be converted to IC???
 
I am building a new pc as well and would need a keyboard too. Though i am used to lappy keyboard so much that i was thinking of getting a low key travel (like laptop ones) board.

What do u say guys, do such kind of boards for desktops available and recommendable?
And what is so special about this board that so much are interested?

OK, one more thing, one of my friend is having a pc with usb keyboard ( dont remember its company and motherboard model) but he was getting hell lot of trouble using that keyboard in dos and or bios i think. Could it be mobo limitation? Or this is limitation with all usb keyboards?
 
Hell Yeah... Count me in, but I need a price to ask my friends... not sure how many might be even remotely interested in these (most are your typical logitech/ms regular keyboard types).

But I want one for myself for sure. So let the price reveal. :)
 
we have a couple of people who work for DELL out here on TE , dont know their exact Id's ...can anyone of them pls look into this and get the Te'iates a good deal on this...i remember long way back (more than a yr back) someone on TE getting a steal deal on this kbb for under 1k......and then it vanished no where to be found...

stormblast and memories_dv had picked up this kb back then. and they had gotten it from some chap in lammy.

afaik they paid 600+ for it.

i have the kb mem_dv had picked up :ohyeah:
 
I also wanted a similar Dell keyboard but without multimedia.
Even posted queries for it, but didnt get one..
I like the design very much and the keyboard itself is nice as I use it in my office.
Finally bought a logitech new touch for 500
 
guess no point in doing with Dell employees.. this is gonna be within 1k neways..

1st of all the keyboard issue: Well this is not a known issue must be something wrong with that particular keyboard or that mobo which must not be support the USB keyboard in BIOS..

... Well am a USB keyboard user since ages now and faced no such issues till now even with my old P4 systems..

2ndly what makes this keyboard so hot?: This keyboard is good enuff, smooth, nice different kinda shape, cheap most of all... and its a quality keyboard from Dell.. small and slick.. bn using this @ werk and its damn good for rough usage (but doesnt mean u bang the keyboard and use it as a cricket bad and then run for warranty once its broken) :P

FYI, I think the same design in available with Dell in a Bluetooth version. If you are buying a desktop, it's available as an upgrade for an extra Rs. 2K. Not sure if you can order it separately, though they are sending me a free one as a consolation for delaying my monitor order almost a month.

Agreed Bro!!... I had checked it at Chroma once, in Dell display stand and it was a pleasure. Plus it's a not very long in width and yet full size keyboard, makes a perfect fit in my not so wide keyboard drawer... giving more space to move my mouse (very important while getting some rampant frags with railgun). :)

So man, any updates on price and availability?
