Just on a side note.There was one last shop at Lamington which I scoped out while buying an where we stopped to purchase some DVD-RW's.This shop had the same controller for Rs.1,699 with 1 year warranty.Since I was in a hurry I completely forgot to take the details of the shop.But yes it is being retailed at this price too & it was a printed tag line.
 
actually most dealers have no idea about the price. I got mine for 1600 bucks in Noida. The guy said Rs. 1800 initially, i asked him if he can reduce the price and i got it for 1600 bucks finally.
