Download the Kies and it worked flawlessly this time. The newer version of Kies is good.

Updated the firmware to 4.0.3. It's good, The UI is improved and touch response is slightly faster. Fonts are more crisp now.

Just updated my S2 to ICS...still playing around with it...will update my observations in a couple of days

Updated on second try via KIES, was surprisingly fast. It usually takes over 30 minutes to just download but this time it was quite quick. I was scared that something was messed up.
Still playing around with the new options but the new battery icon looks horrible.
EDIT: No slide to camera on lock screen :bomb:

Tell me something guys, upgrading to ICS via Kies, would it also upgrade the bootloader?
I'm asking because I read somewhere that you can't reset the binary download counter on the ICS bootloader with the jig?

The copy paste seems to be worse in ICS and the call log screen looks terrible (font).

Well battery life has degraded significantly...earlier it used to last 16hrs on 3G now lasts for 9hrs only :'(

Is anyone else noticing that the double tap to zoom does not work properly in the browser (zooms in too much). Other than the data usage feature I'm not seeing many changes here.

Probably, for me the Contacts take a long time to open. once call log hanged. Kiescast (podcast player) does not close properly and then makes the phone unresponsive until it is closed.

Official JB is not out for SGS2 but if you ask about custom ROM then I'm on AOKP JB but I don't have i9100 but i777 (ATT) the hardware is same, just the button keys are different.
