Storage Solutions IDE to SATA converter for Optical drive

Hi!
I've been using an Ide to sata converter for my old hard disk for quite some time now. I wanna know if the same will work even for an optical drive. I wanna eliminate the big ide cable.

Its been working fine for a year now... Just wanted to make the cable management better by killing the ide cable.

There is one issue, the sata cable is Very loose. It'll just fall off if isn't straight. Cost was around 250 a year ago. Some local brand

well i have branded 2 port PCI slot to Sata convector cost 750 rs

Silicon Image Products - SiI3112 - PCI to 2 Port SATA150
