Dear Sarthak, I am a dealer here on TE. I could recommend you very heartily Nationite Brainwavz: M3. You can get reviews from all the members here. They are extremely detailed, with great bass and fit. They also come with good set of accessories. Excellent built quality, they come with 1 year warranty.

The lower entry level Sennheisers are over priced and usually don't deliver performance equivalent to the other brands which offer a lot better performance than the CX-300/CX-400 for almost half the price. The good part about Sennheiser model is ofcourse you get a big brand name and 2 years of warranty . Other than that most of their lower end models are not really recommended .Ofcourse their high end models like IE7,IE8 are in a league of their own .

Coming to the topic . I would like to know what exactly are you looking for when you say rich sound and good bass ? Do you like your bass to be heavy/boomy or tight and punchy ? Do you like bright/sharp treble or prefer a smoother and more laidback sound ? Such things will help us suggestion you something that suits your needs best.

The Brainwavz M3 suggested above is atleast 2 tiers above the current models listed by you and provide with exceptional sound quality but if you are looking for heavier bass like the Sennheiser CX300/400 its more advisable to get the Brainwavz M2 which is a bass lovers delight ! The M3 are much more balanced comparatively.

The other options worth considering are , Klipsch S4 incase you are willing to increase your budget but personally I would suggest the Brainwavz M2 if you love a lot of bass . They are very fun and musical and for someone expecting the CX-300/400 sound , the M2s will be a big eye opener into the world of head-fi and quality IEMs. This is usually the stage after which members start emptying their wallets on top end IEMs . So be a little careful as well. Its highly addictive and non-curable . :bleh:

Try reading up a Brainwavz M3 vs. Brainwavz M2 comparison and decide for yourself. Sometimes a person thinks that he wants something but when he gets that something he figures that he didn't really want that something but rather something else.
Both the M2 and M3 have a possibility to suit you and they are the best for the budget you quoted. Now its upto your sound preferences to decide amongst M2 and M3.

That's the most clear, yet confusing sentence I've read in quite some time :P

I'd like to think on a different line. M2 and M3 are no doubt steps ahead of CX300-II / 400 from what I've read on them. But, their bass is still on the softer, smoother side even with their bass quantities. It's the midrange which is a huge difference maker when it comes to them. They both could qualify for the 'rich sounding' or engaging part. But if the OP wants that mid-bass hump like CX series, I think he should look elsewhere. More specifics or example of an ear phone he likes would make it much easier to narrow the choices down.

I quite liked the s4's bass when they left me 5 months ago. ( lol it has been this long :O )
