hello, my apologies for opening this thread again i just wanted to ask what cabinet to buy as i have a buget of 2.5 k for it i know about the bijli but if theres a better one ill go for it all help as usual is greatly appeciated

the bijli is for 1.2k not 2.5k.. for that much you'll be easily able to get a CM Elite cabinet with some cash to spare.

No what im saying is that i know about the bijli which is 1.2k but i can extend my budget ot 2.5k if theres a better one .

Also what is the difference between the smps unit that comes with the cabinet and the ones in the market i was thinking of buying a POWER SAFE gold one but im a little confused if the smps that comes with the cabinet is sufficent as i use my pc 24/7 for gaming and downloads i rarely shut it down.

try as far as possible to get a separate aftermarket cooler. for peace of mind more than anything else. there is a reason why decent aftermarket supplies start for around 1200bucks while the dealer reduces only 200-300 bucks from when removing the bundled psu.

and like is said the CM Elite will be a MUCH better choice than the bijli.

dont look @ ip35-E unless u wanna overclock.

I have this board well it has its upside their r things that make me shoot myself
for starters no bios profiles.
fsb reset.
double boot.
sometimes it hangs @ the logo screen(happened once) clr cmos solved the issue.
MY samsung 22x dvd drive hangs my pc.it works perfectly on my frnds pc.
no raid.f**** abit.

The good:
My atp3 sounds a lot better.

Guaranteed to oc ITs way to HELL.my E2180@3.1GHZ 24x7 on stock cooler

I once poured some cleaning liquid accidentally(bought it for Rs 15) on the mobo while cleaning the case.i let it dry for 1/2 a day it booted right up .

Updating the bios is a piece of cake even a monkey could do it

Hi Guys my first purchase went off well buyoed by that ive decided to buy 2 new pcs once again i need the help of u guys..

PC - 1

Quad 6600 - I would love it if u guys recommend any 3 motherboards with it my budget for the mobo is max 10 k

Pc -2

E8400/8500 - Once again if u would recommend 3 moberboards with it... My Budget is 10 k max a few hundred here and there .. Please recommend with different price ranges.

With both the cpu's there will be no overclocking... So suggest a board which i could derive maximum benefits it doesnt have to have an onboard gfx card as ill be buying a new one ..

The budget of the cabinet is different from the mobo and cpu

As always help is greatly appreciated

Hi

If you are buying a motherboard take care of few things:-

Your BUDGET

Chipset Features: (Intel Chipset Comparision)

Processor FSB support 800/1066/1333/1600 MHz (Higher the better)

RAM DDR2 or DDR3, RAM FSB support Such as 533/667/800/1066/1333. Dual Channel RAM support (higher the better)

No of SATA ports 4/6/8 etc. (higher the better)

No of PCI x 16 and x1 slots and specification of X16 slot for eg. Ver 1.1 or Ver. 2.0 (You can finde PCIeX16 ver 2.0 in Intel P45, P43, G45, G43 for Intel and AMD 780 in case.

Motherboard layout (After selecting your Chipset)

No of RAM slots on Motherboard.

Size ATX or mATX. --- Usually most of Performance chipset boards such as P45, P43, P35, P31, P965 etc. come in ATX Size. Some onboard Graphic chips such as G945, G31, G45 comes in ATX sizes also. ATX size bords has higher prices than mATX bords, usually most of ATX boards supports overclocking as well.

Check CPU support for the motherboard and see whether it supports your CPU or not.

Are going to USE SLI then no. of X16 slots.

No of USB and Fire Wire ports.

Sound Output 5.1/6.1/7.1, SPDIF.

Is Motherboard Manufacturer has good After Sales Service record?

I am planning to buy an Abit IP35-E. Could you please explain the issues that you mentioned in your post and their affect upon the system. I have tried to google some information but would appreciate if you clarify it a little.

1. No bios profiles - What is the utility of bios profiles?
2. FSB reset - Does it mean that the board resets the fsb setting thus wiping out the oc settings?
3. Double Boot - Got some info on this. Seems it's an issue with the chipset which was addressed in subsequent bios revision but required the the mains to be kept on.
4. Samsung 22x drive hanging the system - Plan on getting Samsung 223F DVD writer. Is therre a compatibility issue between the drive and the m/n.

Are these issues major enough to rethink my choice of this motherboard?

Thanks
