Yep I know the date of installation very well and thats what I argued with
customer care about initially - that they're givin me only 2.5 months !
Unfortunately in their "billing terms", they call 1 month as in start of the
month to end of the month regardless of the day you sign up. So even if you
sign up on the 29th day of the month, after the 30th your 1 "month" is over :p.
Silly but thats how it works, and thats where i goofed up :(

but they did not tell you that. how can they skip this vital info. its not your responisbility to ask everything imaginable. How would you know what they ****ing do with their plans and billing period.
 
^ Bumping this up just to say issue solved/thread closed. Finally went to the Airtel Showroom and got it resolved. They waived off all charges, had to pay only rental! :D

Thanks to Saiyan for warning me in time, and Dipdude for recommending i visit the showroom :)
