in kerala a Dell S2409W with 3 year warranty for 16000 rs :( do you think the price is too high:? can anyone give me the contact details of a dell dealer in kerala:?

suggest you tone it down a bit. Would it help you if someone was to recommend a dell dealer who is nowhere near your location?

as nandu mentioned, logtech in tvm is a dell dealer

From my experiance,not a single one is authorized dealer of any computer products.only channel partners.any dealer can sell any computer product,since the main disti redington and ingram deals with almost every product.In dell case global infotech,IMC are the kerala distributors.Aldous Glare is the sub-disti of dell products.So when you go to a dealer ask for a dell product,they simply pick up the phone-call the disti give you the price including there margin.

Dell had another type of working.they got pre configured laptops,desktops and monitors stocked by the distibutors.also there is another type of billing called "bill to order".in this case the customer/dealer can configure the product according to there requirement and order fromm dell directly and it will take couple of weeks.

So deepak you can go to any reputed dealers in your city and ask for the best price.

Back end schemes are the major role player among the dealers.....
 
Lol, get the LCD off Phoenix's DO thread. Spending close to Rs. 500 for a 24incher LCD via ground shipping's worth it (or at least to me it is!).

dell monitors are offered at gr8 price here at kottayam. a few weeks ago, 1909 was quoted for much lower price than seen on forums.
 
Last time I checked, the channel prices for the 24" were much higher than what PhOeNix is giving it for. But he's not taking any orders now and might be offline until next week. Also, he mentioned that prices have risen a bit, though I don't remember the difference. If you can wait until next week...
