Incorporating a Pvt LTD Company: What's the process?

You gotta get a lawyer. AFAIK a tech forum ain't gonna give you pointers on how to register a Company. You gotta make a proper application to Registrar of Companies and fulfill the requirements of the Companies Act.
 
For a company with initial investment of 10L cost of registration would be around 40K. Also registering as a LLC will reduce the costs almost by a factor of 10 so you should consider that also.
 
Pvt Ltd is a different affair altogether, you'll surely need a CA/Lawyer to get all the documentation done and will cost a fairly good amount to get it started
Sole Proprietorship/Partnership Firm are the easy ones, better you look into them also

registering is also not compulsory in them, just a PAN and current account are needed
 
^^ Yeah, I'd agree. If your operations don't necessarily require registration as a Company, you should explore the possibility of setting up a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP).
