Increasing costs for GPRS packs

Thats been on the news for quite a while. I did tether my phone via USB - Had no option, did not see any extra balance cut. Was working OK.

Yup, even with 80-90% slash, you still pay 2 rupees per MB of data. How stupid is that?

But, I hope that this a trend that picks up to include data packs as well. Wishful thinking, but let's see.

This is pay as you go so the data packs still remain the same priced. Does not really help i feel.

Please open the 2nd airtel article I posted.

They did not reduce the price of the net packs.

The 125 rupees one now has 90 days validity instead of 30/28 days, same way for all other net packs... And i guess the data usage has been increased too.

No mention about net packs from Vodafone.

I hope Vodafone does this with 3G plan. Make the 1GB valid for 3 months or so. I used to use the 1GB/251 Rs plan but seeing my usage i have now taken 300MB/102 Rs plan now.

Aircel seems to be better - check out telecomtalk.info

On a different note - Pay as you go prices were reduced, but I dont see any point as its still too expensive.

I ported my airtel prepaid no. due to poor gprs and calling rates to bsnl. Have recharged ported bsnl no. from mobikwik twice and never got confirmation sms of recharge successful on mobile. Have recharged for 302 for 2G plan but now i cant check whether the plan is actually active or not and what is the data balance in account. CC is as expected non existent for bsnl. Any clues on the issue?

Tks, though that code isnt working in Pune or at least on my cell. It has Cm10 so that may be the reason as i often get errors after dialing USSD codes.
