India-Pakistan current war like situation discussion (Pahalgham)

In war, one should be brutal and cruel but we like to fight the flowers and fragrance way.
Until we start bombing their civilians pak wont retreat. Merely bombing roads and highways aka non-living shit isn't going to impact their emotion and mental state.
People all over are now angry on our actions.

The hard to digest fact is that India and pak have made a joke of themselves since decades hence other countries like to enjoy our show! The intervention by big nations is merely a show-off and in this era frankly nobody cares!

What is nationalism
What is patriotism
Nation does not equate govt.
Anti govt does not mean anti Anti national.

The difference between patriotism and nationalism is that the patriot is proud of his country for what it does, and the nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does; the first attitude creates a feeling of responsibility, but the second a feeling of blind arrogance that leads to war.

I'm a staunch modi ji supporter and still will be but I have been deeply disappointed with the ceasefire today. I thought this was the chance he would be waiting for to follow through on the #1 agenda item for bjp. Hope the anger of the nation shows bjp what's needed next time and not let pak get away with it next time. Even Atal ji did much more in 99 was hoping for even better this year.

But again I'm not a military or geopolitical expert so I'm not aware of the constraints challenges that led to this decision or benefits that might come out of it

I am staunch supporter of my nation. I will stand with it no matter what.
Wake up , smell the coffee and uninstall whatsapp.
I'm sorry but you cannot claim to support your nation if you cannot forget your differences during war situations to support the government.
If tomorrow you're asked to fight for the country you will just say I don't support the government so I won't fight for the nation. How convenient.

Right, our position remains unchanged and have conceded nothing. Not to mention temporary and conditional on the Paks keeping to their side of this ceasefire

The pressure was on them because they wanted to continue. With each exchange we were done unless replied to.

There was never going to be a war. Didn't I point this out right at the start.

Was there one after Uri? No
After Pulwama? No
So why would there be one now

Everybody got carried away with the opening salvo and further responses expecting something bigger. Really? We are stocked and configured for a short and intense conflict. Not long and drawn out.

See how Ukraine & Gaza have been. Good for China if we got stuck.

Absolute no for us if you expect to continue on the present growth trajectory we are on.

There is no comparison between the two. Our response then was correct as is ours now.

I would defend Modi on this one. Firm when needed. Flexible when required. Demonstrated both here. We came out of this looking like the responsible party inspite of being the victim.

As I keep saying our message was delivered on May 7 with the first salvo. Non escalatory with a preference to not contnue. So this ceasefire is in line with the original strategy isn’t it.

By changing policy so every act of terror is treated as an act of war he has set a pattern for the future. The Paks know the next round will be more intense than this last one.

Do they want that given their present state which is borderline irretrievable? We will see
But again I'm not a military or geopolitical expertit. so I'm not aware of the constraints challenges that led to this decision or benefits that might come out of it
Start with learning how previous conflicts began and stick to commentators who have experience in actual combat. This way you will not get misled.

For example, start listening from here

Good but are they afraid too is the question

Neither of us has ever experienced what war is like. War is not a joke. So if we were smart enough to avoid prolonged wars then there is no joke.

Depends who the nobody is. If their interests are affected they start to care quickly.

If I may say..
Before asking your country to go to full-fledged war ask yourself ...are you ready for war?
Will you be able to afford high food prices, lockdown like scenarios, cyberattacks , your flights and trains getting possibly cancelled .

Businesses not come to India, tourist not come to India...ever wondered how much impact these things can have in many people's life?

It is not easy to afford a war...we are not USA .

It is not easy to fight a war. Beside China would be more than happy to see this war continue.
