Hello all,

I've spoken to a lot of guys who say its ok to plug an Indian powerbrick to a NTSC-U console.

But is there anybody out there who has actually done it without any issues?

Thanks

how much did u end up paying for a PAL brick?

Why not simply buy a setp-down transformer? It prolly is cheaper.

Else, you can get your existing (US) Power brick repaired too and while you are at it get it converted to 220 and you should be ok. I am assuming that the power brick can be open and repaired.

I had a similar experience with my Cambridge FPS2000 Digital. Got it repaired and its been working fien for the last 8-9 years.

even i have the same problem, my us power brick burned out when my younger bro connected it.....you mean that it can be repaired and modded to work at 220 volts in some electrical repair shop ??

Ofcourse it can be as the brick is pretty big but there could still be some lack of space to replace the parts required to make it 220 compatible. He is essentialy using the enclosure to put in a power adapter but using as many parts built in as possible.

Dude tell me where you can repair it ill also do it.

@abhijit the brick was for 3500 bux but tht was a year back.

I got one from US. Playstation supports both voltages 110V - 240V. I did not have any problems connecting my box to local power.

I dont remember the guy, it was way back. Look around in your area for some electronic repair shop (like TV repair) Someone there will either be able to do it or guid to a person capable of doing it.

I have a 1000K step down transformer so all my 110 problems are resolved with that. I can give you the details of a good company that makes these transformers. Buy something like mine and you will be set for life for all your 110 requirements.

Dont try it mate. Though it wont absolutely harm ur system, but would surely affect your power brick...use a step down converter, would cost around 700 bucks.
