GUYS Will this get confirmed ?

@anmolbhard004 Very likely to get RAC for 2 of them .
2AC seats usually see very less chance of cancellation.

But hope it does and the travel is easy for you guys.
(I use to think RAC is not allowed on 2AC but quick google search says that is only for First AC.)

Likely to confirm . Even if it doesnt confirm, you should get RaC.

this RLWL Is very weird there is another WL that is called general one .
hope these get confirmed or else will try Tatkal

also do you guys have a agent that can book tatkal tickets ?

Didn't they used to show a probability of getting confirmed during booking ?
That is almost useless bhai.
I have had many times where I had 89% -92% confirmation that too almost a month back but it did not got confirmed.

It all depends on per train quota and someone I know use to get his family train ticket confirmed through internal channels. They have helped us also once for my mother.

Iss confirmation mein bhi bada jhol hai .

They cannot take flights, so why compare ? Else hire Innovas and take a 50H drive! 2.5K km only.
My way of traveling if I get a chance..total paisa vasool tour eve though it will burn a hole in pockets paying for fuel, tolls and overnight stays.
Dream is to drive from JK to Kanyakumari and horizontal as well but unsure if in this life I might ever get a chance to do so..
A good company as well is required esp. an avid traveler for an adventurous and a cheerful tour.

Unfortunately there is no other metric. If one has access to "jugaad" to get into VIP quota then the number is 100% :)

Depends on the route. I've traveled several times between Mumbai and GUJ, MP & RAJ. Even Goa,

Never had a problem. Traveled mostly by Sleeper, BTW.

But when I had to return to Mumbai and the train originated from UP, I played safe and traveled Rajdhani.

If there is a Tejas, Rajdhani or Vande Bharat option you should be OK.

The rail journey between Mumbai & Goa (and even beyond) during or just after the monsoons is breathtaking - something you will miss traveling by air.

True. The konkan tour till goa or may be beyond is mesmerizing and worth only if traveled on a train. You will spend almost 80% of the times on the doors than heating your a$$ on the seats tinkering on your phones..its that worthy!
But totally avoid this route from July to Sept. end due to frequent landslides and service disruptions.

If the group is big, few can go ahead in train, rest can follow later by flight.
Another option is, if OP have connections they can procure / rent safety concerned items locally.

Hello Guys,

I have a trek coming in Kerala Next month. I'm travelling by train . I have experienced North Indian Railway Train journeys many time and it is horrible 60% of the time. I'm sure many of us have seen recent videos and even experienced it...people boarding without tickets and I am talking about AC class forget about sleeper class.

fact is AC class has become new sleeper class and sleeper class is new General class and General class is " Zinda rahe toh phir milenge" class.

So point is... I wanted to ask people from South-India here or any who regularly travels to those zone on trains ...Is South Indian Trains as bad as North-Indian . I mean bustling issues , cleanness issues etc.

Rains in kokan can cause disruption due to land slides. Not very frequent though.

I travelled 3ac for long distance and 2s reserved sitting /3 ac for short distances in Kerala this summer. No issues whatsoever. It might be the recent backlash, but there were regular checks by tte for tickets. It was like the good old days.

Start practicing tatkal 2 days before tatkal opening day and get ready. Its non peak season. Chances of tatkal won't be bad.

As someone who has travelled along the route from MP to Mangalore quite often the route is very scenic and also has a lot of tunnel systems that provide an eerie but unique experience
also the amount of freeloaders in train from Goa decreases significantly all the way till kerala

Finished my South India journey.

Thought I should share my experience of the trains .
much much better than north indian trains and other Western and Eastern railways I have travelled mostly in my life.

I travelled by sleeper class and also had few tickets of earlier day which had to be cancelled but that actually saved my life( long story short I was about to reach Waynard exactly going to trek to same area where a day before Landslide happen and killed thousand people) on the second ticket which i travelled on ... which was day later I was also going to waynard also but on the train itself I came to know of the disaster. So if i had boarded earlier train would have been caught in disaster.

What a sad tragedy though. All over Kerala the pics and videos were being circulated and one of my senior from Adventure Community was there too on rescue mission and he too shared the tragedy witnessed.

Anyways Coming to South-Indian Railways experience may be i went in not so peak season but otherwise I found it much cleaner much decent people. Respectful of people's seat.
They kept taking my permission to sit on my seat. Even when boarding I would say this is my seat they would remove their bags and all and make it vacant for me.

Now usually this is not so smooth in my experience. Always had to stand firm to have the bags removed and claim my share of space for bags and seat.

I took total 4 trains to travel across South India ( One was AC class so expected better cleaness anyways) but rest of the sleeper class, which i travelled was also much decent experiences.

I did found people throwing plastics outside the train window ( Specially plastic) which I expected a little better from a place with high literacy but that is something even highly educated people do it very casually in our country . It seems normal everywhere. So maybe I was expecting too much.

But yes there is definitely a noticeable contrast in cleanness and overall travelling between South -Indian vs North-Indian trains.

Edit- As of for Indian Railways...4 hours late....Cant even run a slow 50-60 kmph train on time. China is building 1000km/h train and already running several high speed trains. Now I am not saying give us that at this rate... but atleast keep these trains on time....I met another passenger from another train who was coming from Orissa...his train also was about 4 hrs late. So on average most trains are running late and it was not just mine.

They talk about Super fast ...Bullet train....What bullshit.....arey ******** ek normal train time se chalo lo...woh bhi bohat hai.

Ek Dum ghatiya system bana diya hai.
