Lets football!

I know that its a little late now to start a discussion thread on the undergoing ISL but Being late is better than never! :D

Date: 28/11
Match: Delhi Dynamos Vs North East United FC
Delhi currently in 3rd in the table rankings and NE just underneath at 4th.

5 players yellow-carded so far. Its like the referee is spraying yellow cards all over the place. ROFL! 4 for DD and 1 for NEUFC.

Goals: DD 1-1 NEUFC at 60th min.
Roberto Carlos's men (DD's Dos Santos scored the winning goal in the 88th min >.<) won the match which qualifies them for the Semi-Finals alongside the Kolkata team.
The NE side had many chances but couldn't capitalize. They are still stuck at the 4th with 17 points in 13 games. Rest of the team can still catch up. I just hope that they will win their next game.

Next match Goa Vs Kerala tomorrow at Kochi.

For new football viewers, it might be fun. But I'm used to watching the fast paced game of the EPL, so I feel that the gameplay of ISL matches is a letdown
Woah an EPL badass!
Yeah you can improve the indian football scene by not watching it. Stick to English football plz.
True that indian football is nowhere near other leagues in Asia let alone Europe but people like you with attitude of saying "it sucks. Meh not watching" is exactly why sports like football, hockey etc (basically any non-cricket sports) is having a difficult time here growing. If you liked cricket and not football then thats one thing. But since you claim to watch/love only the highest tier leagues it shows that you have an elitist view man its sad.

Hey, what phone are you using now?

Well, that's because I guess you only use Indian brands like Micromax, Karbonn, etc
I know what you're trying to say. Too bad that the brands which you mentioned are not really Indian brands but re-branded chinese crap which we all know.

So Kolkata, Delhi and Goa have entered the SF's. Only one spot for the SF left! (correct?) Could be either Mumbai or NE team. Or maybe another underdog team you never know!
ISL football..... :(
Kerala Blasters .... :( :(
Kerala blaster fans .... :) \m/ :)
lol 5-1. And i thought that NEUFC's GD was bad (that Mumbai 5-1 in which Sunil Chettri got a hattrick. 3 penalties rofl damn!) haha. Btw sorry for your loss. I know how you feel. :P

Chennai trolling Mumbai :P
3-0 half time.[DOUBLEPOST=1449064380][/DOUBLEPOST]NEUFC Vs Pune 1-1 at the 10th min.
Velez finally scored lol. His previous two attempts were nulled. He was offsided at both times. But one of them which was against Mumbai (NE won 2-0) was actually a legit goal. Poor judgement from the linesman. Else the score would've been 3-0.

Update: Kamara scores! 2-1 at 20th min.[DOUBLEPOST=1449066222][/DOUBLEPOST]Bikey (apparently pronounced "Beekay/BK") scored. NEUFC 3-1 Pune. Half time.
Even if NE wins and stand third in the table standings their fate for SF qualification will depend on other lower teams wins/losses.

Stupid referee. That should've been a penalty for NE and effectively 4-1. Goals still at 3-1 however. Seitya should be replaced. Lost many goal-scoring passes. He wanted to score but didn't, those kicks had potential to score if they were passes to Velez/Kamara/etc instead. I hate these types of players dammit.[DOUBLEPOST=1449070033][/DOUBLEPOST]This referee is a piece of shit! Poor judgement multiple times in this match. Don't be surprised if there is any facebook post about the referee being bribed to defend Pune. 2 missed penalties, 2 critical freekicks and as many other. From the way i see it yeah pathetic referee. Kamara yellow-carded for no reason.
If everything had gone according to plan it would be 7-1. 3-1 valid goals. 2 missed penalties. 2 bad plays by Seitya.
That free-kick goal by Bailey was awesome.
NE remain at 4th with 20points and 14 matches played. Chennai at 5th with 19points and 13 matches. If Chennai wins their next match they will get the last slot for SF else NE will.
Meanwhile Delhi at 3rd with only 12 games played LOL. They have already qualified for the SF. Their remaining matches will be for the top position and reputation.

Chennai qualifying for the semis is like Chennai paying tributes to the victims of the Chennai floods. They beat Pune 1-0. Well done.
NE out of the tournament. :/ that's what you get when you don't know how to capitalize multiple chances. You got rekt for it.
But its an improvement from last year's bottom place.

And now the "expert" news analysts are going bonkers. Now that they have been defeated "Mumbai paid price for going with Anelka as coach" LOL. Before the ISL began they were all praise for the French legend. About NEUFC "You could even point out that a team that finished at the bottom last year and ended up fifth this time around has not really made reasonable progress" lol i call bs. Thats a good progress. True that they could've made fewer silly mistakes but still a good achievement imo.
But Mumbai defeat is a good lesson for Nita Ambani. Just because you spend a shit ton of money don't mean you are guaranteed a playoffs.
