me here in bandra get power from Reliance.. and afaik the highest slab i've ever come under is some 3 bucks a unit..
 
@sTalker: gosh! man have enlisted urself as BPL or something? since mseb says 3Re / unit is for BPL only.

I was not talking about the slab, but the total amount of the bill divided by the units, my current bill is for 1254 units and the amount billed is around 9200/- which makes it Rs 7.33 per unit. There are many surcharges included in the bill - my basic bill is 6320/- (with this amount the charges work out to Rs 5.03 per unit) and after all the surcharges it totals 9200/- :(

Upto last year our bills used to be half of what they are now, the rates were increased and they now include an enormous amount for "reliability charges" :(
 
hmm, the reliability charges for not being able to procure nuff electricity and put the industries down for 32 hours a week. and the housholds to 6 hrs a day.

I guess chaos better be prepared to shell out some big sums for the mseb folks.

my bill for the last month worked out to around 540 bucks for about 140 units.. so thats around 3.8bucks per unit.

Hmmm.... 140 units !!! you know Magnet tricks with electricity meters ?? J/K OK !! :P I have one of the new Digital electricity meters with LCD readout so no fiddling possible.
 
:lol: nothing like that.. its a flat shared by 3 bachelors.. the only proper usage is for a water geyser and a coupla comps running through the night :P
