Hi,

I have an Epson Stylus CX4500 all in one which I use very sparingly (around 10-15 pages/month). I bought original replacement color cartridge (all colors). I've hardly used it for any color printing (4-5 A4 sheets maximum), but the cartridges show as empty in the driver software.

This is beyond absurd:@ , it's costing me almost 300 bucks a sheet. I don't want to refill the cartridges (i.e. use only the black one), but the printer does not allow me to continue even though I only want to print in B/W and my black cartridge is full.

Is there any solution to this?

regards

hmm in microsoft word(Assuming that's what your using for printing) there is an option to use only the black catridge.

go to file - print - properties - maintainance - ink cartridge properties( i have a canon ip1200 though, so yours should a bit different) there in you can select whether you want to print using only the black or colour or both! so select black..

if you have already selected black.. then hmm i dunno maybe some other problem with the printer itself!
