hey guys,

jus assembled my new rig with the folowing specs-

c2d e6300 @1.86 ghz
asus p5ld2 vm-se with integrated graphics
512 mb transcend ddr2 ram
seagate 160 gb

Recently installed nfs mw.... the problem is that even at low settings i can't see any blur effects or nitro effects...

yea, yea i know that the game needs a good gpu to run properly but the same game run on my friend's pc with pentium d processor n intel d-102 motherboard shows blur n nitro effects at the same settings....

the same thing also happens with one of my friends who has e6300 with the 945 based gigabyte motherboard....

Is this because of something related to the new c2d motherboards or both of us have to update our drivers or something??

Plz feel free to reply.....:D

The Intel D102 board has ATI's Xpress 200 graphics onboard,

while your 945 board has Intel's GMA 950 graphics.

Here's a comparison between the two : AnandTech: Integrated Graphics: Xpress 200 vs. GMA 950

Needless to say the Xpress 200 is much better than the GMA 950.

The different onboard graphics could be the reason why those effects are not showing up on your comp - either the intel graphics chip doesnt support the effects, or its a driver problem.

Hey Sid,

How does Most Wanted perform on your rig?

I have the same config and was reluctant to play nfs as i dont have a pci-e card

hey kidrock!

see, the game will run smoothly at upto 800 * 600..... but like i said u will not enjoy the game at all since no effects can be seen.. the blur effect is totally awesome...

it's definitely better than ug though....

i especially did not like it b'coz i have already finished the game once on my friend's comp which has 7600 gt on it with corsair 1 gb performance series ram...
you cannot even imagine how beautiful the game if u've not played it once at high settings with everything on...

but, if u've not played it before, go ahead...:hap2:

it runs like crap, i even increased my onboard graphics from 128 mb to 224 mb, still nothin happened. with no AA its really depressing:( .

you can try and run it high seetings but you will a teribble lag on some parts of the races.

yo increase in ram does not help AA. only thing help in aa is the texture pipeline,

and the ciphset.

to run the game smooth

set the aa to off

set the hd to low

and texture to low.

i know it look bad but give u slight higher frames .

well of course without without a gpu, AA is impossible, if it was like that then entry level and lower mainstream gpu's could get kicked out of the market.

Well I have played almost 60% of the career in mostwanted and was looking forward to completing it. But I guess I'll have to wait till I get a graphic card.
