Installation of ONLY indoor unit as a Fan.

I want to place an AC Indoor unit in our lift lobby, which should work as a fan. its a 6' x 12' area. No out door unit will be installed. Want to understand that without cooling effects (no outdoor, no AC), can this indoor unit run for 10 hrs a day? Also can the remote function for switch on/off and fan speed controls?
 
I dont see why not, worst case you need to bypass a relay. But why would you want to do that? the air delivery is going to be pathetic, wouldn't you be better off putting a fan or something?
 
It makes no sense to install the AC indoor unit just for the purpose of blowing air, since the blower will have to suck air through the filter and the evaporator coil, hampering air flow. Instead you could use wall mounted BLDC fan, which consume less power.
