Hi all,
Just wanted to share this with u all...i guess many of u already know it , but for others who didnt know about this :
"intel 945G chipset supports socket 775 series CPU's with EM64T (The 6xx series in particular)....so now even intel has an upgrade path for dual cores since AMD was ready for them with their existing socket 939 boards"
http://www.intel.com/products/chipsets/945g/index.htm
Dell already has such a system in their line-up:
http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/featured_desktop3?c=in&l=en&s=bsd
i wanted to tell this since most people think that the 945 series is meant only for the dual cores...i have seen this in some other forums too where buyers had such a confusion.....for those die-hard intel fans...u can buy an intel based system with a 6xx CPU now and then upgrade to dual cores later....
