Hello all User,

See what is the knowledge level in side of Intel Support it self, as I have an issue with one of our D915GAV, a DDR based board, so I sent is back to intel support for replacement...

Now they found some issue with Memory controller, they called me up and said that may be the RAM used (ZION 400MHz) was not supported by Intel, so i ask them to send me the supported list of RAMs

This is what I get, My motherboard is D915GAV and this is what intel writes,

(Note I have removed the Board serial number and few private details.)

you are speechless, so am I......

bad support is something we have got used to but it is still surprising to see such bloopers coming from the supposedly good Intel support team

Plz mail their reply to some top officials....this guy shouldn't be there. He should be spanked off. Support guys r not paid well.....so u can guess all morons not knowing any damn thing abt pc gets into these jobs

Not Possible, as after the email I tried to fit the DDR-II rams in our rest of the D915GAV fleet :P

Doesnt work, the RAM doesnt even Fit in, and really its not possible to fit DDR-II on DDR Connector !!

and how the hell they find 240pin DDR connector ?? as DDR2 are 240pin where as 184pin is the DDR connector !!!

or maybe D915GAV was supposed to be available with DDR2 support but it failed in the testing environment and then they released it with DDR support....:ohyeah: :cool2:
