Hi guys,
I just want to know which one is the best antivirus for Gaming PC.
As for most of the games Kasperky AV does good.Till now have been using it.
But I found on google that Bit Defender AV is the best Anti virus software.
But want to know how it does for gamming pc.
As many anti-virus apps create problem in game installing.
(Here I'm talking about original 100% legit games.)
I've just bought new laptop with Mcafee installed
Should I go with it or not.

Kindly share your experience about gamming pc anti virus.

i have been using Avast free edition since past few years. has a 'game' mode too. works well for me.

I'm not taking about gaming mode.
Just that many anti virus softwares inter-fare with games in installing and also sometime forcibly shutdown.
because most of them consider game's exe file as virus.
I have found only kaspersky anti virus to be quite desent.
Want to know if bit defender and mcafee are also good for gaming pc.
Protection quality wise what have i reserched on google, kaspersky is 2ed , bit defender is first, according to many sites.
personally, found kaspersky to be very good, has blocked many viruses.
Now i bought a new lappy. And just checking before purchase.

The charts goes like: after searching a lot of googling.
1. Bit defender.
2. Kaspersky
3. Norton
4. Others...
Virus coverage performance vise...
So, want to know which one among these and mcafee , is best functionality with games.

Of the lists mentioned, I have tried out Avast, AVG, Bitdefender, Kaspersky, Eset, F-Secure, Trend Micro, Avira, Zone Alarm. However I have been using Comodo Internet Security since the past couple of years.

IMO, it offers the best overall protection but requires above average knowledge on the part of the user due to security techniques it uses. Things like the Behaviour Blocker, HIPS, Auto Sandboxing, Kill Switch, Comodo KIOSK etc.

It also features other features like Geek Buddy etc. but I have never used those as I don't need them. And it does have one of the best free firewalls by FAR.

Give it a try. The free version has no real crippling either. Excellent app that not only protects me but allows me to test new apps either in Sandboxed mode or via the Kiosk (This is a separate but FREE download and is very cool indeed).

Have a look here to see how well it has performed consistently over the past 4-5 years -

in 'game mode', i didn't encounter any such alarms at anytime IIRC (perhaps that is why its a special mode, customised not to interfere in gaming); though it used to happen years back when i had norton and mcafee.

Dude if its a gaming rig u r talking about , Go for bitdefender AV and comodo firewall combo or you can directly use kaspersky inernet security.
personally m using norton av with comodo firewall as my laptop is i3 -2330 so needs a lighter combination, personally i would have preferred avast av pro with comodo firewall for a lighter combination.
i hope this helps....last 5 days did the same thing...installed all above av with comodo and tried their performance on my system :D

I am using bitdefender for 2 years straight now on my rig and its awesome. But has issues with few games which won't launch until bitdefender is un-installed like Batman Arkham Asylum and City.

I've used KAV and ESET (Only AV,not Internet Security Suites). Both are decent but KAV removes more viruses (takes quite some time and effort but gets the job done) but its UI and performance isn't as good as ESET which is quite light and fast. Using KAV right now

I've heard good things about NIS but i've had quite horrible experiences with Norton and i'm not going back
