^^ Okay this is all nice and dandy but I have one counter-point that their are no digital download models in India that are like iTunes [which are functional for their purpose].
Once we get iTunes [or similar download options for films and other media], which allow us to pay once and download the film and store it any format [.mkv, .mp4, .3gp, .flv], media [DVD library, mass storage on hard drive] we will be not stop Pirating, because Piracy is
Ease of storage, Ease in redundancy [back up your pirate collection on another hard-drive, what if your original DVD / CD is scratched up], Ease of access [fire up google --> torretz.eu --> torrent to any location you prefer].
So that is my only objection, rest hope that his catches on. Cheers!!

Another Point - Consider some People in india. They dont want to pirate any stuff but want to listen to lets say Kings of Leon , Neither can they buy that in india nor can they listen to it ,because itunes does not have it or services like last.fm, pandora don't work in india . So the obvious option Piracy. same applies to the TV shows aired in US. When the MPAA is discriminating people on the lines of geographical position how can anyone support them .
