iOS iPad 3 vs iPad 4

I am looking to buy an iPad 4 but I am getting really cool deals on iPad 3. From GSMArena I saw three differences, front camera, processor [A5] and graphics.

How much is the difference ? Anyone who has upgraded from iPad 3 to iPad 4 can comment ?

Is worth to invest on a 2 generation old device ?

Difference in performance is stark. They doubled the resolution from iPad 2 to iPad 3 while increasing the hardware only a bit. OS Smoothness and gaming performance is better on iPad 2 than 3 because of the lower resolution. That's the reason iPad 3 was phased out in only 6 months. If you need it only for watching movies, browsing etc. its good. But not recommended for gaming etc.

I am inclined towards iPad 4, but iPad 3 offers are just great :O

Spend more and get ipad 4, ipad 3 has the least gaming performance amongst ipad 2, 3 and 4. The hardware was not good enough for the resolution, that is why Apple replaced it in 6 months.
 
Any particular store chain? Where are you based?

Interested in the "iPad 4 16GB Wifi only, Dec 2012 - 23K" & iPad 4 16GB Cellular, Dec 2012 - 28K...

I am looking for a brand new iPad 4.

Both the links you posted above for iPad 4's are for "used", 2nd hand iPads.

Apart from being "used", one of the two sellers has not even made his first sale yet!

This is not a Rs.1000 item that one can write off if there's a problem with the order.

Personally I would say its extremely risky buying such an expensive 2nd hand item without even seeing it. Oh, and, please don't think for even one second that Ebay will somehow magically help you if something goes wrong.

When push comes to shove, Ebay tends to abandon buyers in favour of the sellers without missing a heartbeat, even when you have hard evidence that points to the contrary. Trust me, I am speaking from first hand experience with Ebay. In any case, thats just my advice...
 
The deals I mentioned earlier were also used, not brand new. And I know the risks with eBay ;-)

If you want new one, then buy from Flipkart and use standard chartered card, it should come at 29K. Or if you have any ebay 7%, then you can go with ebay, you can get around 28-29.

I am looking for used ones, as new ones are out of my budget.
 
Yep, I know about the FK deal.
It was actually even lower at 27,115 a week ago when SC were offering 15% off rather than the 10% they are now though they have added another 3k off on clothing items. With the iPad Air around the corner, I will wait as I'm quite sure the prices of the iPad 4 will move down sooner rather than later...
 
If you are buying for gaming, it makes sense to wait for ipad air as it is a hell of a lot lighter. I have gamed both on my mini and friend's ipad 4 and even though the 4's screen was better, it was more enjoyable gaming on the lightweight mini.
 
@phoenix844884 I highly doubt and I am yet to see the tablet in person, so no idea about its condition.

I think its better for me wait till iPad Air launched in India so that prices of iPad 4 come down. I am sure stores will be running some stock clearance sale as iPad 4 is discontinued.
