May be I could not figure out how to bypass all the restrictions even with jail break
the iPhone 2g was one device I enjoyed like anything because at that time there was no Android phone or any apps
I jail broke my phone and enjoyed free games and laptop was always nearby to sync
but then I got irritated by having to convert videos to mp4 format only
I enjoyed 4s for some time but this time may be I didn't know about all the jailbreak tweaks to apply
also sold my ipad mini

As far as videos are concerned, there is no need to convert them to mp4 as there are lot of 3rd party players available in app store that play.

I returned ipad mini because previously I was on ipad 3
the screen resolution forced me to make the jump[DOUBLEPOST=1366813810][/DOUBLEPOST]videos needed to be converted during iPhone 2g days not now of course

Guys which apps like spotify which are xclusive to US app store

Are you asking what apps are US store exclusive ? There might be many. I have US iTunes account on my iPhone so i can check but the problem i cannot say whether the app is only in US store or in India store as well.

guys today i went to a shop to apply screen guard

it was a good shop and i used his screen guards on all my mobile all were bubble free

before i could i told him not to the fluid ......he applied a fluid and its wasnt colin or stuff but this http://www.amway.in/Shopping/Products.aspx?pid=E8095IDI&ctg=Scp

he applied it properly then after applying that fluid and said it removes dirt

i came home and now i am scared that it may harm the screen long term
should i remove the guard ?

its glass which is covering the actual display panel,
as far as i know,glass is not permeable to any liquids .

yes but iread on other forums that long term use of screen guard can harm the oleophobIC coating , so i removed it

You do realize that iOS multitasking is not actually real but sort of gives you impression of multitasking.
I am ok with this but many people are not.
If you want to try, start upload of some file using the Dropbox app and while it a uploading press home button to go to springboard and after some time go back to Dropbox app and the file upload would have stopped and will resume as soon as you are back in Dropbox app.
OT -
I had fight today with one my apple friend over this. He says Apple's multitasking works in the background. so just to prove his wrong. I installed dropbox on my iPhone 4 (iOS 6.0.1) and surprisingly it worked. I have 18 pics in my camera folder and all them synced in background. :nailbiting:
Post this i searched little bit on google and Dropbox was the first apps(post iOS4 ) which execute codes in background.
But overall i hate iPhone and multitasking. Now whatsapp is not real multitasking app. lets say you are in whatsapp and you press home button and now when you get messge it will connect to whatsapp server again. if you notice when you launch whatsapp it will say connecting. same is with when screen off. You do get push notification but it will connect again to retrieve the message.
I didnt have this kind of stupid thing with my GNexus and Blackberry 9780. Once the message delivered to to apps its delivered. it will not connect again to retrieve the same message that you have received in notification.

p.s. I am not apple fanboi and i am just using iPhone until i get my Z10. :D

@cisco_tech

Yes some of the apps now have permission to stay in background, probably until they finish the task like say uploading files in dropbox etc. I just listed what my experience was with dropbox but yes i might be wrong here.
With regards to whatsapp also you are right, it connects everytime i open the app but when the phone is on standby i do get the message.
What i have observed is that when i send a whatsapp message to my wife (iPhone) i get only single tick unless and until she opens the app and sees the message while when i send the message to my brother (android) i almost immediately get two ticks (message delivered) even when he has not actually seen the message as many a times i get his reply after few hours. But frankly for me this reconnecting does not affect the operation or usability of app so i am least concerned.

Agreed raks. Push is registered with apple. But background whatapp app loose the connectivity once it goes into background. And that single tick and double tick thing is correct too.

^^ whats app as it is a battery hog, i have obeseved it consumes at least 10-15% extra battery on ip5. And i was not even using the app, max 2-3 message in a week. If it continues to run in the background it will consume even more battery. There are many apps which run in background like flickr app.

@raksrules
The messages you get it push notifications from apple servers. When you open the app it updates messages from its own server. I am not sure just guessing.

@Rahul

Yes that is right it seems. Only when the app is updated i can see the message within the app, but the notification is indeed from Apple's servers.
Not sure about whatsapp being battery hog.
