Update on 13 Pro.

Bought this for 57k and paid the same day, After 1 hour of paying the money the sellers wanted 3k more stating I have a better offer then mine from a member so either u pay 3k more or will sell it to the other guy. This was purchsed for a friend who said he purchased it for 57k and it's my problem how he gets this phone to him, So thought of paying it from my pocket asked the seller and we settled for 2k. Which I said will pay once I receive the phone.

Received the phone yesterday pictures attached it was stated 10/10 PRISTINE CONDITION and on what's he even said its in super condition there is only very tiny/small mark on the display though there are atleast 4/5 marks.

Would have sent the phone back to the seller but as it was bought for a friend he sold his phone the same day he bought this (he uses 2 phones). He said he cannot buy another one as he don't have money also he is travelling today.

Just coz of the seller I'm stuck with this mess only if @MarioBros have not lied about the conditon things would have been different.

It was my mistake I did not asked him for more pictures as he had 50plus positive feedbacks and took his word.... Word? Haha

Looking at the pics, it is nowhere near 5/5 condition. Marks on the sides are clearly visible and looks like a case marks.
@rkkaranrk it is not advisable to go for a deal blindly by looking at RATINGS only or taking WORDS of seller in consideration.
Since you cannot return the product, you may get some compensation from seller or atleast close the deal on originally agreed price and get back extra money paid.
@TheBark what's your thoughts on this?

57k is actually an excellent price for 13pm, but the experience and condition skews the bargain part from the price imo.

Its not 57k it's 59k as the seller wanted more after closing it for 57k.

my point was 57-59 is good for mint condition or condition as described, and I don't think you'd bother with the added 2k if the item was 5/5.

the bitter end of the deal is what spoils it on a whole.

I have done 50+ deals on TE and never faced this situation.. I am currently driving and I will reply back with my version of the story

- The deal was finalised for 57k and @rkkaranrk made a token payment, during that period I received offers from other TE members for 59 & 60k (one was a local deal)
- I immediately reached out to @rkkaranrk and asked if we can close the deal at higher price i.e 60k, we had discussion and he agreed to pay additional 2k once he receives the phone, for which I agreed. I was very open about what I was asking and it was my choice and my device, I could have given him many other reasons and backed out of the deal, which I never did.

- Once the phone was delivered buyer told me that condition is not as expected since I had mentioned the word "Pristine" for which I agreed that it was my mistake to use the word "Pristine" as I expected the buyer to understand what a 10 months phone would look like after day to day usage, no where in the deal I have mentioned condition is 10/10
The photos what I have uploaded is very clear about the condition.. has very minimal scratches and those are expected on a stainless steel device.

- As soon as the buyer sent me photos, without any hesitation I offered him refund so that he can ship the device back to me as I had other potential buyers, he then asked for time since his friend needed to check the device and decide, he also told me that returning the device is not the solution, I then asked what it the solution expected here, for which I never got any answer.

- Today morning @rkkaranrk sent me the following msg on whatsapp

- I clearly told I am not willing to wait for 10-12 days, pls ship the phone back to me and I will refund but he did not agree and straight away posted in this thread.

- I was also willing to let go of the remaining 2k if he would have discussed with me since there was mistake from my end for using the word "Pristine"
even after reading his post in this thread I reached out to him and again insisted on sending the device back to me which he is not ready.

I am surprised and shocked the people expect a 10/10 condition for a 10 months old iPhone which is made of Stainless steel.
I am also surprised some of the members are commenting and judging without reading both sides of the story.

Would someone clarify, how is this called “the deal was finalised” when the seller immediately walked back after agreeing to a sum? This revision doesn’t sit consistent with my understanding of how a deal is considered finalised.

Wouldn’t such practice snowball into proxy biddings especially after receiving the token amount. I don’t think bidding is permitted here, is it?

I was under the impression that once I agree to a price with the buyer, I must follow it through. But I am willing to learn.

You mean its wrong to honestly negotiate without giving other reasons and escaping from the deal ? whats wrong in it
its not that we are doing and secret deal, it was a open ask with the buyer

It would have been may be wrong if I had taken full amount and then again negotiated, but in my case I had just received token payment.

If this is against the forum rules I am happy to correct that implement that going fwd.
