Other Iphone 3G not getting charged and getting heated incase i keep the charger plugged in

Mine iphone 3G is not getting charged ....it was working fine till yesterday ..but when i connected it to charger ...it is not identifying the charger...also i tried via connecting it to laptop usb but that too is not working...also tried friend's charger nothing worked...can smebody please help with this
