Btw, Forgot to mention GPS works too. so Skipping 4.0 & going directly to 4.2.1 was a good call:eek:hyeah:

4.0 had complains of bad performance for iPhone 3G(That is why I upgraded to 4.2 directly), which were fixed in 4.1 by apple. iOS 4.2.1 is last official update that iPhone 3G will ever get. so it should be considered stable. And if you don't enable fancy stuff(disabled by default) like multitasking,wallapers etc. Then speeds will be same, atleast in my experience speeds are same as were on iOS v2.2

Further, I would say upgrading to v4.2.1 is worth for app folders alone:p
