iphone 4 locked from usa

I am planning to buy one Iphone 4 which is not not unlocked but comes with a gevey sim.please help me for a good buy.
Can I unlock this phone easily.is there any serious issue.Also at what price I have to buy it.
please post advises for a good purchase.I am new to iphone and ios.

Unlocking depends on the software version and the baseband installed in the phone. Certain firmware and baseband can be unlocked but if the phone has a newer version of the firmware installed then it can be an issue. Else, unlocking is not such a tough task to do. Hope this helps.
