sorry! but i wont agree with you. Kindly do not post unnecessary comments. he has mentioned it as bricked. interested people can buy it after clarifying what all steps have been tried by the OP to fix the phone and do some researching before buying. He is not selling a bricked phone after telling that its working right? OP kindly confirm if you will accept returns in any circumstances or not?

Even i dont agree with you. I have asked him what steps he has tried to fix this issue.

FYI- Bricked pieces can be fixed
 
Guys, kindly please do not crap the thread. This seems to be a soft brick and 'could' be fixed, with 'could' being the operative word.

I spoke to the seller today and the warranty is of USA. So anyone who might be making a visit to the States or has someone making frequent trips could purchase this and try to get a replacement from Apple.

Do you consider asking question as crapping the thread? My question was - What steps he tried till now to fix the issue?

So this issue cannot be fixed here and needs replacement only from US- OP?

Well, I was referring to the person who was comparing the phone to a Brick :P

Anyways, no, I could not ask him as to what steps he took for the same. There was a network issue and the call disconnected. Calls to the number later were not picked up.
 
wow there sure is a lot of crapping going around on this thread, Sincere thanks to vivek.krishnan & vriship for your support. hope i can clear all the doubts in this post.

1st of all the phone was brought from U.S in June so it has no India warranty.

Secondly for all the noobs who don't know what bricked means "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brick_%28electronics%29" just 1 sec of goggling could have gotten you the answer, i said bricked cause i don't know if its a hardware or software issue but was caused during flashing the phone in DFU mode, i did it to get a clean copy of iOS6 on my phone & to all the people doubting that im trying to scam please try explaining how it is a scam as i have never said that its in working condition or can be repaired easily also i have posted a pic of iPhone stuck in restore mode.

Lastly the steps i have taken to restore the phone is trying to flash it again 7-8 times on my Desktop & Lappy, i could not do more as i have mentioned my current situation in "Reason for Sale" & due to that i cant take any responsibility for phone.

Sorry to all those who sent me PM cause i could not reply all as there are around 20 messages regarding this topic.

@thomasjude47 yes i did contact apple care India they said iPods have international warranty but iPhone's have region specific warranty.
 
This is the best deal on TE for iphone 4s.I am sure this is a software glitch which can be taken care of by devoting time.

Please stop assuming that its a software issue as i don't want to be labelled as a scammer later on, i have my doubts that its a software issue cause flashing in DFU mode its the best solution for software issues & even that is unable to fix the phone, so cannot rule out the possibility of hardware issue.

I will be leaving in 3 days if not sold until then will ask my friend to get it repaired & sell it off in my absence.

Try flashing it again and use tiny umbrella then try the kick out of recovery option . It did help in my friends case . Same issue and tiny umbrella did solve it .
