iOS Iphone 4s Standby time same as Usage time (battery drain)

I got a Iphone 4s recently and the battery is draining very fast when compared to my friend's iphone.

Upon checking the various causes for drain like google now sync, location settings, mail sync, etc
I came to know that even after turning them all to off, and with very minimal apps or no background running apps the usage time is still equal to the standby time. (like 6 hours 30 mins standby vs 6 hours 21 mins usage).

I am not even using the phone frequently, i just use it for couple of calls, text messages and only on EDGE signal.
tried various solutions provided on apple discussion forums like "reset all settings" , restore, wifi sync turn off and many others. no results. the battery even drains when on airplane mode but not at that speed but still at a significant rate.

Please help me with any possible solution...

Tried most of these solutions provided but none worked.. its on 6.1.3 so no jailbreak to diagnose with some cydia apps...

How old? in warranty?

its seems like the battery is culprit.

the battery even drains when on airplane mode but not at that speed but still at a significant rate

how much is reduced per hour.
if its in warranty, check with apple.
i initially had this problem in ios 5.1, i think so. but after update FW, havent had any hiccups till now. i have good battery life with close to an hour call, no messaging, maximum 1 hour 2g and 2-3 hours wifi. using many apps and browsing last a day.

no i don't think its a battery degrade issue....

coz i have checked some of my colleagues iphones and the standby time and usage time have a good difference....like 8-10 hours standby and 2-3 hours of usage....for me both are same with a few mins difference with....
They get a standby time of 21-22 hours or moderate usage of 6-7 usage time....where as i get 10-12 hours of standby with actual usage time of 2-3 hours(but shows 10-12 hours of usage)

its not in warranty....over night of wifi it drops from 100% to 40% without any mail sync or other sync....
i have seen many new iphone 4s customers also having the same issue on the forums....

using 4s on 6.1.2. no issues.
take out the sim, do a factory reset and restore FW.[setup as a new phone rather than restoring from backup. caution: take backup of sensitive files to your pc] charge your phone 100% and use it. if you find the same phenomenon. then its the battery. change the battery.
also check how much the battery drains throughout the night. in my case, its usually 2-6%.
