iPhone 6 Dummy Shots Emerge

An Italian Mac website, has received images of what is said to be the final dummy of the upcoming iPhone 6 which has been making rounds in the rumour mill lately. But until now we have only been getting dim and shady shots of the dummy. Finally for the first time, there is some solid proof about the design, which is pretty impressive.

The dummy first gets compared to the current ‘king of the ring’ the Samsung GALAXY S5. The phone saw global launch and has been doing well in terms of sales as well, making its Korean bosses pretty happy.

The GALAXY S5 appears to be barely half an inch taller than the iPhone 6 dummy unit. In fact the screen size also appears just a centimetre smaller diagonally. The new iPhone 6 design is bit slimmer and just a few millimetres smaller in overall size in comparison to the GALAXY S5. The back sports the protruding camera unit with a matte finish while the display dominates the the front leaving very little space for the side bezels.

iphone-6-mock-up.jpg

After the latest rumors that the next iPhone 6 model will be released at 5.5 inches, more updated news are saying that Apple will only be offering it in limited numbers.

According to Yahoo, the Cupertino-tech giant is reported to only produce 10 million iPhone 6 units upon launch as reported by Weibo. This rumor was actually triggered by reports that Apple is having trouble when it comes to meeting the required number of supplies to produce the upcoming smartphone.

Rumors about the next-generation iPhone have been gaining momentum lately, from leak images to design mockups. With WWDC less than two weeks away now, it is natural to hear about the upcoming iPhone 6. So far Apple hasn't announced the device yet , and it's not expected to offer it for the time being. If one asked to look at Apple's previous iPhone launch events, both the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C were launched in late last year. Though Apple has traditionally launched new iPhones in June, it's assumed that the company could reveal updated hardware at this year's WWDC, with retail availability in August. While Apple is still far from making the iPhone 6 official, in the meantime, new images of the phone's dummy have been making their way to the web. First discovered on the iphone-store.ro by GSM Arena, the new images allegedly show off the dummy 4.7-inch iPhone 6 model being measured by a digital sliding gauge. The blog site claims the supposed 4.7-inch iPhone 6 model will sport a dimension of 137.5x67x7mm, while the iPhone 5S measured 123.8x58.6x7.6 mm. The new leak itself hints at a large display ducked iPhone 6.

Going by the images, one can clearly see a 4.7-inch iPhone 6, which will reportedly come with a resolution of 1,704 x 960-pixel. Furthermore, the pictures also give us a chance to to take a closer look at the iPhone 6's exterior , which features iPhone 6 like design. With the Samsung Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia Z2 and HTC One (M8) already introduced, there is a need to launch an updated hardware with a large screen.

If rumors are to be believed, Apple is geared up to release the iPhone 6 in September. An employee over at Romanian Apple customer service admitted that their team was told not to take any leave in September. Apple's next major release, likely to be called the iPhone 6, could be bigger and better. From a larger sized-display to all new design here's a roundup of all of the most believable rumors so far.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has a proven track record with Apple rumors, said in a recent note to analysts that the iPhone 6 would feature side bezels reduced by between 10 and 20 percent and an overall thinner form factor than the current generation iPhone. Not long ago, the gallery of purported images reportedly comes from a Foxconn insider which also means that that the device is actually getting tested inside a Foxconn facility. The new iPhone is supposed to be thinner than the other Apple phones, and is reportedly said to come with a protruding rear camera. And one of the leaked images actually justifies that. In fact it is expected to be less than 7mm in thickness.

The iPhone 5S was launched with Apple's first 64-bit processor, the company's A7 chip. And according to rumors, the company is planning to use 20-nanometer 64-bit A8 CPU in its next-generation smartphone, likely to be known as the iPhone 6.
According to a report from the Chinese website IT168 Mobile ( via MacRumors) , the iPhone 6 to have a large 10-megapixel sensor with a f/1.8 aperture lens. The report further claims that the iPhone 6 will feature a resin lens filter rather than the hybrid IR filter found on the iPhone 5S.

Taiwanese celebrity Jimmy Lin – who showed a pre-release iPhone 5 – has revealed supposed images of the iPhone 6 alongside the iPhone 5, reports Gforgames.

A look at the image, and one will see a noticeably larger iPhone 6 with curvier edges andiPad-like design, something we’ve been hearing for some time now. Talking about the iPhone 6 further, Lin has shared his experience with the device. He lauded the larger 4.7-inch display and says the device design offers a good grip with the matte aluminium finish.

Owing to a larger display and newer design, the power button has been moved to the right edge. Morever, there is no built-in antenna and you’ll still find it on the outside.

Last week, we saw leaked images of the rear shell of the iPhone 6 in multiple angles. It showed two cutouts – one for the camera and flash, while the other was for the Apple logo. The design looks in line with the images posted by Lin.

Though Apple has ben tight lipped about its upcoming iPhone, a lot has already been said and written about the device. It is expected to run iOS 8 – unveiled at the WWDC recently – and the company is said to be betting big on a health and home automation. Latest rumours suggest that the iPhone 6 will hit stores on September 19. Here’s all you need to know about iOS 8, and you can also check out our iPhone 6 rumour-roundup.

With some many details already known, it is not really a big task to pull off a dummy like this. Apple unveiling is not longer fun since most people already know what to expect. But nevertheless, they grab a lot of attention for sure.
