iPhone + Airtel's Mobile office . . . Anyone?

Hi guys. . . Anyone using airtel's gprs service , Mobile office along wit iphone here? Can you pls give settings for it? Also list out some gr8 softwares to be installed on iphone.. Pls..

Is it the old one or the new 3G

If the old one, What firmware are you on?

In the pre 2.x versions, you need to manually enter airtelgprs.com as the APN name under Network>Edge settings

In the 2.x versions, you don't have to do anything since Airtel is added as an official carrier and all settings are preconfigured

I'm having 2g with 1.1.4 firmware.. Should i upgrade it to 2.01? Is it worth? Or stick on the same? I tried entering that apn but still it doesn't connect.. I'm getting a square near operator logo..

Square means your are not in EDGE enabled area. E means you have EDGE connectivity.

But can i get Gprs ? Or only edge is there it will work?

GPRS would work

As long as you ahev an active data plan

Just enter airtelgprs.com in your APN setting and you will be all set

nopes, that needs to be configured only if you use a VPN
