Iphone from Sprint

Hi
I would like to know if iphone 4s/5 (Sprint) can be used in India ??? I am asking this as Sprint has both GSM as well as CDMA Technology built into their phones.

Hi,
I am using sprint locked iPhone 4s iOS 5.1.1 unlocked via Gevey ultra s on Vodafone Delhi .
Gevey unlocks the gsm no jailbreak required.

i thought gsm was unlocked for international users and CDMA was locked !!! .

It was unlocked earlier when the phone was released. All models were unlocked for international use but later in next update sprint locked it again.

Even if you don't get Gevy sim, i think there are some people who are providing remote unlocking service, heard for some AT&T phones, dont know about Sprint

Dropped the idea of getting an iphone from sprint and undergoing the hassles of unlocking it. Any idea when is the HTC Butterfly ( International version of the HTC Droid DNA) gonna release in india ????? seems better than the note
