40K+ iPhones purchased in the US and AppleCare+

Has anyone here successfully purchased applecare+ from India for a US esim only iPhone? Wanted to clarify this before I got my hand on the device.

Nope, AppleCare+ won’t work if you're trying to buy it from India for a US eSIM-only iPhone — it’s region-locked. You can still get repairs and service worldwide, just won’t get the coverage benefits of AppleCare+. Honestly, a good case and tempered glass should be more than enough protection.

Unsure for esim. I activated applecare+ at apple store, also from 3rd party for MBP even claimed warranty for them.

I can also vouch for Applecare+ being activated on an non-indian device, purchased outside india, but activated in India. AppleCare+ was purchased online, via Apple Customer Care, in India.
