iPod and Itunes woes

First off, Hi !!!

Okay, coming to the problem; basically the new (bought in sep '06) iPod 30g that i bought does not get recognized by iTunes 6. I know it works in iTunes 7 (which is what I'm using right now) but I'd like to go back to using iTunes 6. Is there any way to get the latest gen. iPods to work on iTunes 6.

And also, I've been searching for resource replacements for Itunes 7 (Windows version) but I've had no luck so far. Does anybody know a way to get it looking like iTunes 6 ?

Download the latest iTUnes 6 (shrug)?

Edit - you SURE it's the new one with gapless and letter-wise searches?

yes, im absolutely sure its the latest one...the one with games and it does not get recognized in iTunes 6

and there is no latest iTunes 6..its iTunes 7 which i personally am not too fond off
