Audio iPod Touch international warranty?

BTW, can anyone clarify whether everyone will get a brand new piece? My iPod is in the RMA process now and they said that it will take at least ten days. The service centre guy told that they will replace it with a new piece but after watching the replies here I'm now fearing that I may get a refurbished one. :( I want only FRESH ;)

I got the replacement from Apple care on Monday :) Don't know whether it's a brand new or refurbished. Is there any way to check whether it's a new one or refurbished :(
 
^^ the lady at the service center told me that apple always gives a brand new piece as replacement (instead of a refurbished one). Mine looks brand new and is absolutely scratchless, so I have no reason to believe it's refurbished.
