Just came back after watching the "first day first show" of Iron Man and the movie's SUPERB!

Be it Robert Downey Jr.'s (as Tony Stark ) witty one liners or Jeff Bridges's portrayal of a cold businessman or the awesome CG the movie will keep you hooked for the 2+ hours it runs.

After a string of movies that made me wish I could burn the whole damn multiplex down (10,000 B.C , RACE etc), this one proved to be total paisa vasool:hap2: :hap2:

PS: Was going to post in the last movie seen thread, but made a thread for all those people who are planning their week-end. Because of almost zero publicity, I was going to skip it but believe you me, DON'T MISS IT!

Yup, i've been following the movie ever since it was announced...will watch it on sunday or someother day.

Yeah, good show. I loved the action sequence. Downey plays Ironman better than I expected. nice mix of action and humor. Never gets boring.

There's also a game based on the movie.. Heard that's good too.

I think Marvel churns out some 2 superhero movies every other year.. Don't they?

Me too, I am looking forward to seeing this....

When you said RACE... did you mean speed racer... I was hoping that it would be decent too..... haven't been really paying any attention yet... does it suck?

LoL... I think he meant Hindi movie Race... that sucked balls like nothing else, oh wait, maybe not. Tashan takes that prize. :P

Saw it last night, was good :)

But IMHO the villains could've been a bit tougher, the final showdown was too easy and predictable at times.

The end was a bit abrupt too :P

Superb. Just got back after watching the Invincible Iron Man!

But since when the hell did Afghan's speak Hindi......

No Sir, I was referring to an extremely stupid Hindi movie that was released a few months ago by an extremely competent pair of brothers (directors+producers) who have churned out quite a few good movies in the past. So, high expectations... :(

IMO, Wachowski brothers will do justice to Speed Racer. I remember watching the cartoon a lot when I was a kid (even though I never really watch Anime).

@ iGo: Did not have the courage to watch Tashan on screen. Hence watched it on my comp (with my 2 fingers firmly placed on the Ctrl+right arrow key). Finished the movie in 20 mins flat.:P

From what I read in over a dozen or so reviews on the net, they have left the ending abrupt for a sequel. I think the sequel will open with him still standing and day-dreaming that he said to the press that he's Iron Man.

now even I want to watch this movie!

I had seen animated version of ironman long time back!

let try this one!

after joining TE i trust all techies

hehe

Its like any other "MAN"

yeah spiderMAN, superMAN, and now ironMAN..

The effects are superb..but like every other MAN, its just plain shallow...

But stil was fun at places..

Yeah there is a sequel..

Speed racer i hope is gonna be awesome..Saw the trailers..man its jus awesome the city lighting and all..jus gives an awesome feel ween u remember the cartoon network anime..awesome..

Yep that does look like a possibility!

I was shocked when he openly admitted he was Ironman.. goes against the theme of super-heroes keeping their dual-identity a secret

lotsa afghans speak hindi(urdu). Hindi songs are quite popular there. And with so many pakistani mujahideen there...its very easy.

In one of the conversations the doctor tells him how many languages these guys speak...coz many mujahideen come from many different countries, almost all central asian countries.

OMG, I can't believe this. There was a scene after the credits which I missed. Its confirms the fact that there's going to be a sequel.

The next movie is going to be bad-a$$!

Samuel L Jackson appears as Agent Nick Fury and tells Stark that he's not the only super-hero in the world. He then invites him to join S.H.I.E.L.D and be a part of the new Avengers project.:hap2: :hap2:

PS: If anyone watched the scene, please confirm :)

Just came back from the movie.... one word man, AWESOME !!

Maybe not that great as great movie, but it's an official gadget porn for us techies. Effects are cool, Tony Stark's attitude is sharp yet witty (Robert Downy Jr. fits perfectly for the roll, just like Christian Bale for Batman), Supporting cast is well utilized. Just full paisa vasool !! :D

... and Looks like I should have waited for the full credits to roll over, I missed that scene too (above mentioned).
