Is 40EX500 for 70k a good deal??

After a long wait, i am finally biding goodbye to my 13 year old CRT TV. I visited few shops this evening to check out some LCDs.
LEDs are just too expensive. I couldn't notice much of a difference and would not shell that extra money for nothing.

I am not able to decide among these TVs

Samsung 40C550/530
Sony 40EX400 - 60k
Sony 40EX500 - 70k

I will be using it for SD and HD content. No Gaming or using it as pc monitor.
The good thing about Samsung are they play mkv files.
The SD on Sony EX400 was slightly better than the samsung. Is the 100hz MotionPlus worth the extra 10k for the EX500. As far as i know that is the only diff b/w EX400 and EX500.

I also dont mind buying these TVs in grey market. I think it should be atleast 15k cheaper than the retail prices. Can anyone let me the contact no or address of grey markets in Bangalore.

Please reply guys. I will be buying the TV on Sunday evening.
 
Grey market is in majestic/gandhi nagar,Shops in sukh sagar mall ground floor sell them.
The EX500 is available for 56k & the EX400 for 45k.
 
Are they sealed package. Or are these LCDs opened and put on display. If they are on display i will take my laptop to test the tv for dead pixels.
 
Well they are sealed boxes,but you can request them to open it up which they don't mind at all.But they will not allow you to use the remote which will remain sealed.They have a dvd player to check them out.You can also take a USB drive with full screen JPEG images of the R,G,B,White,Black.
