he is talking about his Gigabyte mobo, u can use ur P5B Dlx board, infact its still a crazy overclocking board for the E8xxx series....
 
The GA 965P-DS3 is also good for OC just not with the newer procc give it E6300/E6600 and will work great, just don't expect much for newer processor unless you have a newer revision motherboard
 
I tried with E6550 [1333], failed to work, but working excellent with E6300.

Also I have, Asus P5W DH Deluxe, First, tried with [1333], unsatisfied bought E6700, working excellent.

Now, I got Q6000 with Asus P5W DH Deluxe, working fine, still i have not OCed.

Note : Not tried with E7200, even it is 1066 FSB, E7200 is working excellent with Gigabyte G31 - This great VFM Combo.
 
Update Gigabyte had a new BIOS release F13 which is not a Beta, will try and let you know, I will not be able to tell anything except from the stability of the BIOS as do not have newer Procc.'s to test :annoyed:

bios updates allow over clocking and are not softwares for overclocking,they simply add advance hardware support to the cmos.so an update now will fix the prob and you will be able to use e8400 and overclock
