Final price comes to rs.13600 i guess. cashback will come only in june.
I think i missed out on the 16gb card+ screenguard offer on zoomin :-/

The Tab3 doesnt seem to be a big leap from the 2. I was hoping for an IPS screen, better back/front cam, 8"..

So, you got the 3G version..?

I expected resolution bump in Tab 3 and much powerful internals.... lets see what SoC they've used. It'll be interesting to see how they price it...:)

Hmmm didnt get to try it out much.
With whatever i could try on it, it look lag free to me.
Tried running temple run 2, which runs smoothly.
Played some .mkv videos on it. the stock video player plays it well.
The display looks good for the money. Would test more with some pdfs and web browsing.

Yes Abhi, got the 3G version. Its a solid 5k more expensive than the wifi only version, but bought it as the adv. of having it is useful while travelling.

I'm very impressed with the tab. screen seems very good, lag free, videos play well on vlc. PDFs seem decent so far.

The non-3g version would be excellent VFM.

Looking at the Tab3 specs, i'm not impressed. And the extra proccy power wouldn't make that much of a difference to me.

I have a Nokia X3-02 on which i've subscribed data pack to browse internet on my Laptop & PC. I can use the same to connect my tab to internet via bluetooth. Its very much hassle-free and most importantly far less battery draining than WiFi..... almost negligible. Furthermore i've more Galaxy devices(all running Android version >4.0) so i can share the internet of my Nokia X3-02 with every android devices(running 4.0 or above)....

I was wondering if reading PDF on this tablet( or any 7" tablet) is decent enough ? I hope it is not a strain on the eyes !

I am planning to buy a tablet for my son 6 years old. Presently I am confused between ipad mini OR samsung Tab 2 /3.

Uses will be games, educational stuff, occasional reading, browsing and a lot of youtubing.

The only thing i am worried about is wear and tear because it will be mainly for my child

Currently I am planning to wait till samsung releases Tab 3 (hopefully I would buy this one) which I guess it should be priced around 10k.

@yashvisent -

The tab 2 is better than the tab 3 - atleast when it comes to looks and build quality. the tab 3 is a glorified sgs 3

IMO not worth buying the Tab 3. The specs dont look that impressive to consider a leap over Tab 2.
reading PDFs on Tab 2 is comfortable, as one of my requirements while buying a tab was to be able to read PDFs.
