Is it advisable to buy Ipod Touch 4 now, or wait for Touch 5?

Hey Everyone

I'm interested in buying an ipod touch 4. However, having followed all the rumours on the new Ipod touch 5, I was wondering if it would be worth waiting for it or buying one now itself?

Please suggest.
 
The iPod/iPhone lineup is gonna get updated very soon.it's better to wait but buying it now also won't be a disaster cause I don't think there will be much difference in hardware.
 
Was planning to get the new Touch 5 in/around December this year. Waited for a while and there is no new touch just an os update and an extra color.

Now that both Iphone and Ipad have A5 will that make buying an ipod touch for games a bad decision?
 
The games that won't run on a a4 chip,you could count them with the fingers on your hands.

A4 Is a very powerful chip and for the price with ios5 and tons of new software enhancements it is definitely a good buy.
 
yup the ipod touch announcement was a disappointment with no CPU,storage bump, Get the ipod touch 4, its still a good device and you can play all the games, if you want it with A5 SOC then wait for another year :P
 
Totally advisable to buy iPod touch as its still current and you dont need dual core processing for multimedia player.

Ios updates makes it sweet deal.
 
Totally Buy it !! I was in the same dilemma complete last year, to buy or not to buy but finally bought it last month, I personally feel it has enough juice to keep you engaged for a loooong time.:ohyeah:

Games that won't run on A4 can be counted on fingertips at the moment but I am sure that scene can change soon. Initially IPad had A5 and Iphone and IPod had A4. Now Ipod is the odd man out. I am sure the developers will try to push the graphics envelope now.

They are not giving 3G to IPod. Why? Reasons are pretty clear but why cripple a device by not updating it?

@RS4: I waited since May this year. I am not sure I am going to wait another year. I feel like an idiot already.

@pratikb: Agreed, don't need a dual core multimedia player but if the future games on iOs platform start demanding the extra power I will need that proccy.

Will there be a price drop on the current devices?
 
Yes . I am here too with same dilemma .

I will wait till end of October or start of next month before I make a purchase !
 
GTA III for mobile devices

Won't work on new Ipod Touch. Looks like developers have already begun shifting focus to utilizing the A5 chip's power and it was bound to happen.
