(1)I am also happy that govt. has taken the subsidy back, People earning 8-10k per month, should not bother spending extra 400 rupee 4-5 times a year only, you will get 9 cylinder which will be more than enough for a family of 4 member, taking into consideration only basic cooking is being done.

depends . if all the members of the family depend on home cooked food, the duration for the cylinder will be shorter, on the other hand , those used to not carrying tiffins, eat at the outside eateries, the duration will be greater

(2)See for poor, they cook food only twice, one in morning, they eat rice, they carry same rice for tiffin, and same is being used for afternoon, then during evening. I had already stated, poor people eat basic rice + pulse only, very rarely vegetables

how long does that take to be consumed?

(3)i can show you people who make 1 litre oil to work for 2 month, my farmhouse servant, almost cook his vegetable with 0% oil

also recently , the PM had a dinner party , why did the caterer billed the govt @ 7K+ per plate? is'nt that mother of a scam?

(5)For people earning above that, govt. has done APL card, which also provide basic ration for cheap. Also you should know, 32 is just a basic perimeter to call, basically they provide BPL card for all earning below 4-5k, and not having TV/ Big house / large land, and even by paying 200 rupee to local sarpanch you can get your BPL card easily, i request you to visit some village place and see how the system is working , the central is helping people much more than they bluff.
They provide Guranteed Rojgar system for all rural people, where govt offer them atleast 120 day of work @ rate of 180-230, where they will have to just clean road, dig some canal not much very hard work.

(6)Also one thing i would like to ask, what's the cost of per plate in your or your sis marriage (pzl don't take personal ), i am not much very rich, and on last occasion i was billed of almost 7xx per plate, even though i live in tier-3 city. The PM is the face or you can say the head of nation, its very much necessary for him to maintain standard, its not like that on every ocassion they should call chai wala to deliver chai, and for dinner call dominos and order 100 rupee pizza for every kid. 7k+ per plate is pretty decent

I or any of my family members don't eat outside food much. Maybe just once or twice a month, and that too with friends. Our family doesn't go out for lunches or dinners. My mother and sometimes me or my sister cook everything at home itself.

Not sure. Depends on what type of cooking is involved. It requires some serious rationing though.

This is seriously an issue. The definition of BPL needs to be changed to suit present times. Even those earning above the limit you quoted can get BPL cards, but it is very vague in its requirements. It needs to me made more stringent and socially justifiable.

More about lavish celebrations than a scam; 3.5k per plate is possible in big events here. Just shows how out of touch politicians are with the ground reality.
