Is it safe to use Registry Cleaners

I've never noticed any performance difference after using any of these reg cleaners...for me the best way to boost performance is to format or restore a backup

Try CCleaner. It's a pretty decent, free registry cleaner. Does a good job of cleaning the registry, among other things. It's available at CCleaner.com

^^^ I agree 100% .... and for me an Acronis True Image backup image restore is the BEST Reg Cleaner... removes all unwanted Reg entries.... :D

Its quite simple ... you have to select partitions to be backed up from the list and then select file name and destination of backup image - thats it. On average Acronis does a 50% compression. Acronis backs up about 2GB a minute on my setup.

Acronis has an option to make a bootable CD and from this CD you can run Backups and Restores ... you can make backup image files from one partition to another on same HDD but this is slow compared to making a backup image to another HDD. I make a backup image from one HDD to another and keep a copy of the image files on external USB HDDs. Acronis has options to Restore full HDDs or Partitions or Directories or Files. Sometimes I have needed to restore only a programs directory or a corrupted file.

Here a screen of Acronis..

Select partitions to backup here.... "S" is an external USB HDD....

Dude u might be laughing at me but u dont know how much pain its to restore
a system back from such a complicated state.

I have configure a lot of tools and even the softwares which are required for
my project work.
Arey no no no, I m lafaughing becuse first you confused to use it or not but in last I clapped becuse you took a wise decision:hap2:

Dont use too aggressive ones. I think Regsupreme and jv16 were the program that had caused problems for me. I use tuneup utilities now. No problems at all with it.
