hi guys, i am planning to buy a water purifier, today a guy from Kent visited and he suggested we buy Kent pearl which is like rs. 16900. here is the product link
KENT RO
is it a good enough purifier and worth the money? the TDS he measured in our water is above 1000, which i suppose is a lot.

i've heard KENT has worst customer service, they just try to sell their products and after service is worst.

i have no idea what to take now, i didnt manage to read those old threads yet, short on time these days, so i have postponed buying one for a few more days.

There is few filters under certificate from BARC & quite good & 100% ZERO maintenance, but you need to clean cartridges depending water quality in your area, easy to clean at home, just check if replacement of cartridges available in your area/city, at present those cartridges costing Rs.600/- (pair) & for safe side change after 365 days if not it can serve you for 3 yrs :)

Buy if those brands have physical office or authorized dealer you can access in need, other wise ... :(

If u have hard borewell which is not good in taste then go with Kent Pride, It removes bad taste from water too.

The main concern with OP is whether the Kent RO system kills the bacteria or not. I heard most of the RO doesn't kills bacteria but of course they will reduce the TDS in the range of 40-60.

you can consider Zero B RO based systems. Its been 2 yrs now and its working flawless. Every 3 months free cleaning of filters both external and internal.

In most of the RO based water purifiers there is a UV based purification system which is attached at the final stage of the purifier and is meant to kill bacteria like a normal Aquaguard.

See the Kent site for more details:

Keep us posted what do you take.

Do you have plan for Kent Pride ? Thats flagship model.
I think Grand + is their flagship model. It has a computer chip over pride(Must be a 386...hehe), rest seem to be the same.
Compareindia shows pride best@ 12.5k & grand+ @ 14.5k
I am thinking of going for the grand+ ...anywhere I can get it cheaper? From New Bombay.

Better check with showrooms given in Compareindia.

Some times price shown on sites are not given by that showroom.

hey i contacted Nirmay but they never respond. Many times I have called them but no one picks up. Once they did and said we will come back to you but haven't. Such service for selling then how will they behave after sale.
