Laptops Is MSI Wind Laptop available in India now

well no idea about cost but one thing there is no contact number for msi india second if have they are as selling partners like esys and many other. when i call them yesterday in delhi and mumbai they even dont know what is msi wind u100 lolz such a crap

Got a email from MSI on 14th announcing arrival of MSI wind. Then there is a review ( ??) of MSI wind with XP and 6 cell battery on Techtree. today. The price is quoted at 23k plus taxes ( VAT ?).
I am in market for a MSI wind but only scared about after sale service. Does any body have any experience with MSI Laptops. Is there any kind of service available ??
Wind at 23k is very tempting as it is very highly rated in all its reviews.

I'm so going for this! Damn Airtel lines are still down here! I'm trying to get a final quote and maybe I'll even the get laptop tomorrow or before the weekend! Stocks, please don't go! :(

^^ did you manage to get hold of one? what quote did you get.

I was told 23k + 4% tax for a Linux one with 1GB RAM. I'm pretty sure he's overstating the price. I always thought the Linux came with a 3 cell battery and 512MB RAM. Even if it is a 1GB one, I don't want to risk getting a 3 cell battery so he said I'll have to wait for 2 weeks for a Windows one as he's not sure about the battery. Prime ABGB says it'll take a couple of weeks.

Meanwhile, there's some noise over at ASUS. The EEEPC 1000H has the exact same config as the MSI Wind (Windows) and I saw on a newspaper article that it is priced at ~29-30k.

quotes plz :D

23k seems decent considering its 480$ in US. good pricing.

@praka: The SSD limits memory too much IMO. the 80Gb is much better for normal use. I HAVE used an EeePC so trust me on that one. :)

i've inquired abt the Wind in Chennai.
The guy said he can source one for me, lemme see what price he quotes.

Has anybody been able to get a real market quote for MSI wind 80GB windows xp -with 6 cell battery-around 23k plus VAT or is this all all a whiff of imaginary wind. I M seriously interested in getting one as my constant travel companion!!

I think it will take a couple of weeks for the windows version to get here. At least that's what I was told. The linux version should be available in retail stream in a week's time
