I went for a trip last week and in the middle of the trip, i found that on zooming the camera showed a curved line on the screen (actually on the lens i feel). The curve shows in the photos as well.
Here is a photo taken on first day of my trip and i found no issues at all entire day so i am guessing that the camera was not damaged at this point.

Following are the pics taken on subsequent days and this is probably where something went wrong. You can clearly see the curved line in the pics.

I took this pic of sky to properly show the problem.

Is my camera damaged ? If yes then i have no idea when this happened as i had always kept it properly.
The problem is lesser or no if i do not zoom at all. Only when zooming it is more prevalent.

its a hair/ dust strand inside your lens probably, if in warranty, get it serviced.

It does not move from its place so i don't think it is hair. And not in warranty as this camera is quite old, 4 years or something.

^^ i read somewhere that these kind of artifacts come in pictures when there is a some kind of dirt or particle stuck on the camera sensor. They are only visible in high zoom levels.

Correctly said in above post..

It must be some dirt, hair etc in lens or sensor... Which camera you are using??
BTW, it no big damage.. a clean up by cam technician will solve it.. not a big issue

Is there anything i can do myself to fix this ? The camera is a Panasonic Lumix <dont know model> but it was bought from ebay.in 3-4 years back. It was very popular deal and many people from TE bought that camera. It was some Chennai seller IIRC.
Btw i tried wiping the lenses from front and it did not do much good.

Most probably your camera sensor needs cleaning. There are many youtube videos showing how its done. But i would advise taking it to a service center. :)

Lumix.. must be something like TZ7, LZ10 etc :P

BTW, assuming it is dirt inside lens or on sensor, you cant do much as it is P&S camera.. a visit to service center for cleanup would be best. (can try hand opening camera but would be worst option in all)
