Storage Solutions Is my drive dead - can i still recover data ??

hi,

I dropeed my hdd today from about 3 feet high.
The hard disk was inside the sunbeamtech hdd usb external enclosure.
The hard disk is not detected at all. I opened it up , it runs for 10-15 secs and shuts itself off.
I really want my data back – its a 1 tb seagate 7200.12 drive , i have atleast 400 gb worth of important data that i must recover.
Please please help!!!

If its not getting detected in BIOS then you have only one option, contact a professional data recovery expert. Its going to be very expensive.

You can try replacing the board on the hdd with the board of some other hdd with exact configuration as yours but this is totally experimental and can screw up your data.
