is panasonic cube a go ?

hi. I am looking to buy 2 ACs ranging around 15 to 25k each. As there is no space for window ac, so have go with split.

I read about panasonic cube. Got mixed respone. Room size 10 x 12. Its a 2 star and only basic functions. I am getting its remote model in 16500 with remote.

Should i go for it ? Please suggest. I have heard there are problems with its cooling and it uses some flammable gas. As told to me by samsung dealer.

Wanted a hands on exp if anyone can share. Thank you

I have zeroed down on
1. Panasonic cube 1.2 T
2. Voltas vertis 1 T, 5 star.

Could anyone suggest between these 2, or if any other option is there.

Well the Cube is excellent VFM. I would suggest the Cube. Wait for Gannu's comments too since he has been using it for more than month now.

Loving the AC. Go buy it before the dealers loot you off this summer.
 
^Yeah seems like it is. I got it for 16k. But seems like summers have kicked in and he has increased the pricing.
 
Keep us posted on the feedback after the AC has been installed. I haven't heard from DarkAngel either. :P
 
Hey guys,

Bought Panasonic cube 1.25 T @ 16.5k + 1.5k installation. ( installation cost went up as extra wire had to be put)

Till now its working great. Huge blower, instantly cools the 10 x 12 room. Came with a remote.

Functions -

1. Timer upto 12 hours

2. 3 fan speed

3. On / off

4. Temp

So a good A/C suggested by TE members, thanks again mates.

Nice! Do you keep the fan on High mode? Since it is a bit too noisy and getting a sleep is almost next to impossible. Not even watching a movie.

It's a decent AC though. I am glad Panasonic decided to come up with a model particularly suited for us Indians - works decently and doesn't cost a bomb! Like the new Toyota Etios maybe. :P
 
i keep the fan on low or medium. Even on those speeds the cooling is quick. Lil bit of noise is there but my woofer takes care of that while watching movie. While sleeping low fan speed is more than enough.

Though the size is huge, like a square mini desert cooler, but works great.
 
Low/Med fan setting is good enough. I have the 1.25 ton cube installed a bit high up in my bedroom. Cools quick, great if you want indirect cooling of the room.
