I want to know is there any comparable difference between GDDR5 and GDDR6 GPUs.
Does a 6GB GDDR6 gpu better performs than 8GB GDDR5? Do we get more FPS in games and does it renders faster?

The limit on the max bandwidth, the pcie bus support, the throughput, all are an improvement in GDDR6 over GDDR5.
Then again,
Keep in mind the actual specs and their comparison, as how well and efficiently an architecture is used depends on the manufacturer.
 
You should look at the actual gpu performance.
For this hypothetical question, yes GDDR6 is better than GDDR5 if speed is concerned.
For 6gb and 8gb argument it depends on pcie bandwidth, your processor's i/o capability, mobo capabilities, ram specs.
Because whenever vram will be full it will swap to system ram which goes through pcie > cpu > system ram. So, you have to give a big latency penalty. At that moment 8gb GDDR5 will perform better than 6gb GDDR6 (if rest of the gpu remains same, hypothetically)
 
When you put GDDR5 and GDDR6 GPUs head-to-head, there are some pretty big differences that can really impact how they perform. GDDR6 is way faster, with a max data rate of 16 Gbps - that's twice as fast as GDDR5's 8 Gbps. It's also more power-efficient and has higher memory bandwidth. So, GPUs with GDDR6 memory are generally going to outshine their GDDR5 counterparts. Take the GeForce GTX 1650, for example. The GDDR6 version scores about 5-10% higher in gaming and synthetic benchmarks compared to the GDDR5 model. But keep in mind, the actual performance boost can vary depending on the specific app you're running and your overall system setup.
 
If you are talking of GDDR5 vs GDDR6 versions of the SAME GPU, then there'd be differences.... The GTX 1650 with GDDR5 has severely cut down 128bit bus width compared to 192bit in GDDR6 - THAT is a much bigger difference than just the memory type.

If however, you're comparing genetically, there's much more to performance than just memory type.
Total GPU core computer power, architecture, memory is width, memory speeds, result total bandwidth - all come into play.

For example, GTX 1080 Ti, a GDDR5(x) GPU is quite a bit faster than the RTX2060, a GDDR6 GPU, due to superior core and total mem bandwidth.
