Is there any video encoding software to .......

I am trying to encode videos for my Cowon A2 using divx or sometimes xvid. I wanted to know is their any place in any of video encoding softwares to encode the videos in target resolution (like 480x272) instead of target bitrates or target size?

you can use virtualdub to perform custom conversions to any format.

I checked them dude. It comes with an encoder but does not have target resolution. Almost all softwares have bitrates and target size and target quality of compression than target resolution :S

virtual dub comes with target resolution settings.

you could also try Batman. but this thing is command line

^^i dunno wat res format your player supports..but i use super encoder for almost al my conversion.. .. works without a hiccup.

Thanx for the replies.I was using AutoGk and virtualdub till now. I will try mediacoder and superencoder.

@stalker - dude, where do i find the target resolution in virtualdub? Is it in the codec settings or the Virtualdub settings?

i dont have it in divx . I just get the profiles which has prefined resolution settings
